The Plant Security ladder

Ranked · Rating → lore rank · Plant Security

Your Ranked rating is shown as a Plant Security rank. SECFOR — the DoE Security Forces — has the plant’s longest starter ladder in lore, from Junior Watchman at 0 XP (Weston SMG, M19, Ammo Box, Security Car) to Security Commander at 300,000 XP (A-card, Retired Security Sedan). The TCG borrows nine of those ranks as rating tiers.

Everyone starts at 1,000 — Guard. A tier is a floor, not a rung: drop below 1,000 and you are a Watchman again.

Standard Elo. Expected score from the rating difference; K = 40 for your first ten rated matches, 32 afterwards. A win against a higher-rated operator is worth more; the loser’s delta is computed from their own K, so the two numbers can differ. Draws (both disconnected) move both ratings toward each other.

Only Ranked matches ended by Meltdown, Perfect Shift, concede, timeout or disconnect are rated. Game Master cancellations are not.

In lore the ladder continues past Security Commander to a 600,000-XP prestige tier (“Director Formals”) and the Director of Security Forces — “equivalent in rank to a Stratocracy Commander”, brown jacket, two stars. There is no rating tier above Security Commander in the TCG; the DSF is reserved as an event title.

Your rank tier appears on your profile, in search results, on the leaderboard (top 100 public profiles) and next to both operators’ names on the match board.
